Marijana Tadic Sculpture
Marijana Tadic is a Bosnian born artist who migrated to Australia in 1969 and later graduated with a BA in Fine Arts from the University of South Australia. Now based in Adelaide, her practice focuses on three main areas of sculpture studio work, public art, and cultural planning, typically exploring human relationships to natural and urban environments. With many of her works located adjacent to water, her sculptures strive to create a positive impact on their surroundings and to provide stimulating public spaces.
Tadic regularly exhibits nationally and internationally and has had public works commissioned all over Southern Australia, including the well-recognised Gateway to Adelaide urban art project. More recent works include the Kaurna cultural marker at Salisbury, and Reciprocity at Port Adelaide. She is represented by the BMG ART Gallery in Adelaide and by Soho Gallery in Sydney.
