Mark Niglia,
Australian Sculptor

Mark Niglia is driven by the desire to communicate emotion. He creates movement and life that
allows others to interpret feeling through his work.

Critics have described Niglia’s style “Like sketching on air”.

Through his creative practice, Niglia explores the interaction between human and horse. He draws upon the strong emotion experienced from an event or story that affects others or himself, and expresses these emotions through his sculptures.
The innate strength and power a horse possesses, yet its ability to calm and heal allows Niglia to create a wide breadth of emotion through the form of a horse.
Niglia uses the energy of distorted round bar metals, charred wood and fragmented concrete to instinctively create life-size sculptures. His artistic practice relies upon raw creativity to ensure every art piece is unique and portrays his vision.
