Kiama Sculpture Walk
April – July
Kiama Sculpture Walk
An exhibition of Contemporary Australian Sculpture – supported by Kiama Council
The Kiama coastline, home to the iconic blowhole, provides a striking backdrop for contemporary Australian sculpture. More than twenty works by distinguished artists inhabit the coastal paths from Black Beach Reserve through Hindmarsh Park.
These sculptural works, realised in steel and bronze, demonstrate material resilience and formal integrity suited to the australian costal environment. The selected pieces by Mela Cooke, Michael van dan, Jan Gomez, Jen Malison, Nicole Allen, Andrew Kasper, Chris Flenley, and Charles Blackman engage with concepts of place & permanence.
This exhibition presents an opportunity to experience how contemporary art engages with one of the South Coast’s most recognisable landscapes. The sculpture walk offers visitors a chance to see established and emerging Australian artists working within the unique conditions of the coastal environment.
