Public Art & Large-Scale Sculpture Commissions

Public Art & Large-Scale Commissions

Design, Fabrication & Installation
Councils, Developers & Institutions — Australia Wide

We connect the right artist for the job and manage the logistics from design through to install.

Large-scale public sculpture is a different undertaking to a gallery purchase. It means matching the right artist to a site, a budget and a brief, then managing engineering, fabrication, permits, rigging and installation without the client having to coordinate any of it separately.

That’s the role ARTpark plays. We work across our represented roster of more than 40 Australian sculptors — in bronze, stainless and Corten steel, and fabricated metal — to find the right creative fit for a site, then manage the project through to completion.

Recent work includes managing the reproduction of the Kirra Sea Eagle, the Gold Coast’s best-known public sculpture, with artist Tobias Bennett — from artist selection through fabrication to reinstallation at its original site on Kirra Hill.

We also place sculpture across councils, estates and public sites nationally — recent and current placements include the Kiama Sculpture Walk (NSW South Coast, supported by Kiama Council), the Shellharbour Marina Sculpture Walk, sculpture placements at Walsh Bay, Woolloomooloo and Moore Park in Sydney, the WA Sculpture Walk in Perth, and representation at the 2024 Venice Biennale.

If you’re a council, developer, architect or institution planning a public art commission, restoration or large-scale installation, we’d like to hear about it.
