Astra Parker
Astra Parker is a sculptor based in Adelaide, renowned for her stunning steel creations that reflect her fascination with species regeneration, life cycles, and the interconnectedness of nature. Her artistic process is intricate and involves multiple steps, resulting in sculptures that embody the patterns of growth, renewal, and restoration found in living forms.
In 2012, Parker earned her Graduate Diploma of Visual Art and Design from the University of South Australia. Since then, she has showcased her work in numerous solo and group exhibitions across Australia, including the Palmer Sculpture Biennial and the Heysen Sculpture Biennial, both in 2012. In 2011, she was recognized as a highly commended finalist in the Waterhouse Prize
