In Australia, bronze works well for outdoor sculpture because it is corrosion-resistant and weather-resistant. Larger sculptures can be supported by bronze because it is a very robust material as well. The lovely golden hue of bronze statues won’t deteriorate with time. A type of steel called corten steel develops a protective surface of rust naturally over time.
