Timber sculpture Australia from ARTpark includes both hand-carved and constructed works, in native Australian timbers and imported hardwoods. Artists in our program work with Australian red cedar, blackwood, silky oak, huon pine and other timbers — each with its own distinct grain, colour and character. Some works incorporate natural inclusions and imperfections in the wood, celebrating the organic quality of the material.
