Bronze Animal Sculpture
Bronze has been the material for animal sculpture for as long as sculpture has existed, and for good reason. Lost-wax casting holds fine detail — the set of a horse’s head, the line of a wing — and the finished work survives outdoors for generations, developing a patina rather than deteriorating.
This collection brings together ARTpark’s cast bronze animal work by Australian sculptors: horses and equine studies, birds, and native wildlife, at scales from tabletop pieces to full outdoor works.
Bronze suits both settings. Indoors it reads as a collected object on a plinth or console; outdoors it weathers into a garden and needs almost nothing beyond an occasional wax. Coastal sites are no obstacle.
Most works are limited editions, and the sculptors represented here take commissions — a particular animal, a specific scale, or an alternative patina. Contact us to discuss a piece.
