Metal earns its place in an Australian garden. It handles full sun, coastal salt, frost and decades of weather without softening or rotting, and it can be built at a scale timber and stone cannot reach.

Metal Garden Art & Sculpture Australia
Metal garden art in four materials
Read moreRead less
This collection brings together ARTpark’s metal garden work across four materials, each behaving differently outdoors:
- Corten steel forms a stable oxide skin that stops corroding and holds a deep rust colour. It sits particularly well against native planting.
- Stainless steel stays bright, mirrors its surroundings and suits coastal sites where salt would attack other finishes.
- Fabricated steel allows complex built forms — lattices, folded planes, and pieces too large to cast.
- Powder-coated steel carries strong permanent colour, useful where a work needs to read against dense green.
Metal garden sculptures at every scale
From a single Corten form in a garden bed to a stainless steel landmark across a lawn, metal garden sculptures work at every scale. Smaller pieces suit courtyards and terraces; large works anchor a long view, a driveway or the edge of water. For figurative and animal subjects, see garden sculptures and statues; for big works, see large outdoor sculpture.
All are engineered for permanent outdoor installation. ARTpark advises on footings, siting and access, delivers Australia-wide, and every sculptor represented takes commissions in an alternative scale or finish.
Not sure which metal suits your garden? Our guide to bronze, stainless steel and Corten compares how each weathers, and our outdoor sculpture buying guide covers scale, footings and installation.
